Indian wedding ceremonies
In Indian culture, the coconut represents good luck and prosperity. It is offered in wedding ceremonies to ensure the success of the marriage.
Mehndi are a form of ceremonial art. They may be created with henna and are worn by some brides in Indian weddings. They are usually applied the night before the wedding ceremony. The are many superstitions around this tradition. One is that the bride does not have to do any housework until the tattoo fades so dark tattoos are popular!
